How to get there
Direct flights from major Italian airports in the proposed scenarios, with indicative departures from Milan, Bologna and Rome. Private or shared airport–resort transfer, about 25 minutes; a car is only needed to explore the interior.
Good to know
Winter days are bright but evenings cool down: a light jacket is useful. Supermarkets, pharmacies and medical services are close to tourist areas, and inter-island ferries allow for a day trip.
Sea and beaches
Wide beaches of golden or volcanic sand, with space even in high season. The ocean can have waves: sheltered bays and resort pools remain the simplest choice with small children.
